Risk

Set your limits while calm. See them when it counts.

Why we built Risk

Nobody plans to blow up an account. It happens one exception at a time: a bigger size here, one more trade there, a stop moved just this once. Risk rules made in the moment get broken in the moment. So Tracktions has you set your limits once, while you are calm, and then shows exactly where you stand against them every day. Your rules, your numbers. No tips, no predictions.

Your limits, written down once

Risk per trade, daily loss, drawdown ceiling, trade and position caps. Set them once in your risk profile and every risk number on Tracktions measures against them.

Questions traders ask

How do I set trading risk limits in Tracktions?

During onboarding you fill in a risk profile: risk per trade, maximum daily risk, maximum drawdown, daily trade limit, maximum open positions and a consecutive loss limit, plus how you set stops and targets. You can edit it any time from your profile.

Does Tracktions stop me from trading when I hit a limit?

No. Tracktions is read-only and never places or blocks orders at your broker. Circuit breakers show where you stand against your own limits, and breaches surface as risk alerts in Insights, so the decision to stop stays yours.

How is position size calculated?

Your risk amount is current capital multiplied by your risk per trade. Divide it by the distance between entry and stop and you get the quantity, with the position value shown alongside.

How does Tracktions calculate risk of ruin?

It uses an approximation based on your win rate, average loss and current capital. It needs at least 10 closed trades and is shown against a 25% ceiling, with Safe, Caution and Danger bands.

What do the Sortino and Calmar ratios tell me?

Sortino measures return per unit of downside volatility; Calmar compares return with your maximum drawdown. Tracktions grades both, for example Sortino 1.0 or higher as Good and Calmar 2.0 or higher as Excellent, so the number comes with its meaning.
